WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:

  • Static sensitive devices -  Remove from anti-static packaging only when ready to install
  • Burn / Injury warning - Device surface and heatsink could reach temperatures that could burn and injure. Allow devices to cool before touching.
  • Possible Fire Hazard -  Do not leave drivers running unattended, to be installed by knowledgeable individuals only. 
  • Damage to device - Power off main supply before attempting to install or detach module. Avoid cutting off at DC source while motors are running. Do not disconnect motors from main board while powered. Observe correct orientation when mounting module.

 # Setting Micro stepping jumpers: ------------------------------------------------------------------


The BSD2100 uses jumpers M1 (CFG1) and M2 (CFG2) to set microstepping and selects Spreadcycle or Stealthchop modes.




Sample setting: 1/16 usteps, no interpolation, spreadCycle. Set M1 to H and M2 to H



Sample setting: 1/16 usteps, with interpolation to 256usteps, spreadCycle. Set M1 to L and M2 to Open



Sample setting: 1/16 usteps, with interpolation to 256usteps, stealthChop. Set M1 to Open and M2 to Open



Vref Jumper------------------------------------------------------------------


The Vref jumper is used to disconnect the on-board trim pot and allow an external vref source to control the current setting either from a Digital pot or other voltage source. Controllers like the Gradus M1 PRO does not have digipots so the Vref jumper has to be in place for manual Vref adjustment through the on-board trim pot. For the Azteeg X5 GT this jumper needs to be OFF ( no Jumper) and current limit is set in config. Having this jumper in place for X5 GT can cause drivers to overheat or damage them.
